Its done... I think.

An unusual set back. I finished the campaign as stated and have just been ssmoothing edges and trying to add voicings, and I am unable to get anyone to test it. Literally have heard no interest in it. And its a play test too, not a beta :(

Let this be a warning to those of you who are still months or years away from release.

  1. Hi Eguintir,

    Months/years from finishing ... I hear you. ;)

I am surprised you had no interest. Maybe it's because you say the story does not finish? Or the audience is gradually dwindling?

I am working from the point of view that as long as I do a good job and that around a dozen (at least two) people play and enjoy my module, I will be satisfied. As my wife and long-time D&D friend will play it, then all should be well. ;)Obviously, I am hoping for a great deal more, but only time will tell.

    Lance.

  2. You overestimate the blog readership. Nobody in the forums has any idea what the thing is about I had to go over it all again, which shows you how much membership has changed even over 6 months.

Its too bad none of the old schoolers from 2 years ago will see my final effort.

  3. Hi Eguintir,

I noticed on the Vault that you have "An Alpha Test" module, but I cannot see any "finished" campaign to download anywhere.

Where have you advertised this for download? Just the forums or the Vault as well?

    Lance.

  4. Thats from like october and has no chapter 3. Not to mention various other failings. I got 2 testers talking now we'll see if I can get what info I need from their results.

  5. Hey Eguintir,

Glad to hear the campaign is nearing completion, I wouldn't worry to much about the lack of fallowing, most campaigns don't spark much interest during the development, I think you'll get a lot more once it's released.

Anyways, I got a good chunk of free time this week, and would be happy to help out with the testing (if you still need it). Also Serenity Frost relcently posted a cool tutorial for making custom voice sets http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/myviewtopic.html?topic=719822&forum=115
I'd be up for making a custom set for Parnsworth if you like.
