Ive seen people recommend things before on the forum I just cant find the posts. Its not something nwn2 deleted, it was the computer itself. Just need a simple to use and non crippled undelete software.
Undeleting files will depend on the OS (operating system) you are using. I cannot personally recommend any, as I have not been in that situation. Not wanting to tell you how to suck eggs or state the obvious, but ... always keep a backup on a seperate device. I even have given a copy to a friend!
I hope you recover the files OK. Many companies offer a service to do this sort of thing as well (including PCWorld), but you will have to pay around £200 I believe.
For everyone interested, I do have a backup its just about a week out of date. Because of laptops new scheme where they dont give u a windwos disk, i wasnt able to just start up and copy off my file (windows startup was destroyed) so factory install is your only choice.
Its not the end of a project but it is an annoyance/redoing.
I do not think any such software exists, sadly. NWN2 is a horrible monster when it comes to things like this.
ReplyDeleteI hope to be wrong, but you might just be out of luck.

ReplyDeleteI think this is what I used when I deleted some modules. It didn't get back everything, but most.
